Introduction:
This will be the space given for us to share all our tips about Music Production and Artists Management. We really hope this special information helps beginner artists and advanced musicians alike. For our first edition, we have 5 important things that we put together for the beginner producers.
1) Know what you want.
Have a clear idea about the kind of music you want to produce. In which setting do you want to play your music and what kind of people will listen to it? Answering these questions will help you set the rhythm and produce accordingly. Also, do not compare your music to other composers, especially professionals, as this will only end up discouraging you.
2)Good Sound Reference is Absolutely important.
Get good monitor headphones and/or speakers because cheap ones will make the music sound bad on many sound systems. The problem lies with frequency adjustments, and with good monitors, you can balance the sound. In this way, you can neutralize the differences in other systems. For this, do not compromise on the price, otherwise, it will be a hindrance to your progress.
3)Social Media.
In today’s world of social media, the power of followers is very important. Start building up followers; it doesn’t matter if it is one or two. Even a single listener matters. The more people listening to your music, the better it will be. With time, gradually, your fans will increase. It is more important to have true fans that listen to your music, than just having a random following. So, make sure that you gain real fans.
4)Trust yourself on musical decisions.
Trust yourself. If you feel that some element in your music seems off, get rid of it quickly.
The same goes for a piece that you love. Everything in your track should be there for a reason so that by adding or removing it, it makes a difference. Filling in gaps just for the sake of it will get you nowhere. Your music needs to have your heart and soul in it.
5)Patience
Have patience and relax. No one is able to achieve so much in a single day. You have a long journey ahead, and over-working will not make anything happen faster because music is not like other things. The more you will try to rush, the harder it will seem. Do not get disheartened. Have faith and be patient as success does not come overnight.
Good luck, producers!
